Important - Site changes - please read!
Hi everyone,
As you may have noticed we've implemented a number of minor changes to the website over the past 24 hours. We just wanted to share with you a bit what we've done, why and how it impacts you.
What?
We've basically split the site in two: a consumer facing site and a developer facing site. The default option when people type in getjar.com will be the consumer site. Developers wishing to access the developer side should simply click on "developer" on the upper right hand corner of the site.
Why?
We're becoming more and more focused on driving consumer traffic to the site. Over the next couple of months you're going to see us implement a number of other changes to both our mobile and Web sites. The intention is to make GetJar more consumer friendly and "mass market". Why? so we can get more people downloading apps and get you guys more downloads and more traffic. Since the previous site had alot of options not needed for consumers, we've chosen to make the consumer facing side simpler by only including the tabs that are relevant to consumers like mygetjar or software. The simpler things are for consumers the more quickly they will find what they want and the more downloads you'll get!
How does this impact me?
The only difference this makes for developers is that you'll now need to click on "developer" on the top right hand corner of the site if you're used to accessing the site via the homepage. You also won't be able to use the "login" link we had previously on the top right hand corner. Instead you can do one of two things:
1. go to getjar.com and click on "developer" on the top right hand side of the page. once you're there just select "login" in the middle of the page and proceed as normal
2. bookmark the developer page so the next time you go to getjar you don't arrive on the homepage but land on http://my.getjar.com/developer instead.
We hope this doesn't cause any inconvenience to you when working with us and that you understand the thinking behind this. Regardless, we're always happy to get feedback so let us know what you think or any suggestions via the forum.
thanks
The GetJar Team

It seems that the "Adventure" game category is now gone, but a "3D" category has appeared in its place. My app *was* categorized as "adventure" and now it's only placed into... - 0
